About the Authors

Julie Piatt: A true spiritual wellness warrior, Julie Piatt aka “SriMati” is an author, podcast host, plant based chef, motivational speaker, meditation guide, yoga teacher, and singer. At the core of all of Julie’s offerings is an opportunity for an expansion of our perspectives; a gain of cosmic view so that we all may realize our divine blueprint or life purpose.

Rich Roll: A graduate of Stanford University and Cornell Law School, RICH ROLL is an accomplished vegan ultra-endurance athlete and full-time wellness & plant-based nutrition advocate and motivational speaker, as well as a father of four and an inspiration to families worldwide as a transformative example of a family engaged in courageous and healthy living. In 2010, Rich became one of only two people ever to complete the Epic5 challenge--five back-to-back Ironman triathlons in under one week.

    Julie is the culinary genius behind the best selling cookbook “The Plantpower Way”; 120 recipes and lifestyle guidance released in April of 2015 and featured in the NY Times and Washington Post.

    Her next two cookbooks are published by Avery for Random House. “This Cheese is Nuts” is a delicious vegan cheese recipe book scheduled to relese June 2017. Additionally, “Plantpower Italia” consists of 120 recipes and lifestyle guidance for the entire family Italian style! This follow up to The Plantpower Way is scheduled to release in the spring of 2018.

    Through embracing a plant based diet, and simultaneously embarking on a deep meditation practice, “SriMati” healed herself of a large cyst in her neck, which doctors diagnosed as an incurable ailment. This experience gave her an intimate connection to food, and proved to her the miraculous ability of the body to heal itself when supported with pure whole living foods and a connection to the soul.

    Julie nourished her vegan endurance athlete husband, Rich Roll through years of training and racing proving without a doubt that man can truly thrive on plants alone! Mother to five children ranging from 24 to 9, she prides herself on creating “real” food to nourish and satisfy a diverse range of palettes.

    Julie aka SriMati has created and tested countless plant based recipes inspired from her journey, in her kitchen studio at her home in Malibu, California. She has also given many cooking demonstrations and public classes to share the ease, beauty and deliciousness of plant based foods.
